General Description
The Training Designer (Ref #D2LTRD2006) designs, develops and evaluates training programs, training curriculum, documentation, reports and marketing material. The designer is responsible for ensuring all programs and related material is up-to-date, effective and ready for client use.

Main Duties
- Develops training programs related to product training, client certification and internal employee training in various formats
- Develops content for online training programs, training tutorials, simulations and learner aids
- Responsible for ensuring all program materials are accurate, refined and effective
- Evaluates and modifies existing training programs and related material to make necessary improvements
- Ensures all program information and associated materials are organized and accessible for clients and internal employees
- Responsible for maintaining training department’s documentation and program information libraries within corporate intranet
- Researches and presents program standards to training manager for implementation
- Works closely with clients and employees to gain feedback on existing and future training programs and delivery methods
Work Experience Recommendations
- At least two years of experience in instructional design, training and eLearning
- Experience designing online and web-enhanced curriculum for training and/or education
- Experience using learning management system software
- Knowledge of HTML, Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Dreamweaver
- Desire2Learn experience is an asset

- Bachelors degree or equivalent
