iUpload is a profitable, privately held corporate blogging and web content management company that is changing the way information is being managed, delivered and maintained.
Our Product Development team is currently looking for a Web Developer/Designer with in-depth knowledge of web usability and demonstrated experience in designing and developing rich user interfaces for database-driven web sites. You will be asked to design and implement these rich user interfaces across the iUpload platform using your thorough knowledge of JavaScript, CSS and HTML.
The ideal candidate will be a hard worker, with a willingness to learn and will understand the importance of user experience and brand consistency. An online portfolio of work is required for consideration.
The Job
- Design, implement and maintain user interfaces using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Work closely with the web design and product development teams to deliver an excellent user experience for iUpload's clients
- Provide guidance and coaching on user-focused design principles to other members of the Web Design team
Required Experience and Skills
- Expert understanding of JavaScript and the DOM, and how to traverse and program them using procedural methods and events
- Extensive understanding and experience in hand coding HTML/XHTML and Cascading Style Sheets, and familiarity with web standards and CSS-driven layouts
- Solid understanding of cross-browser/platform issues, and knowledgeable in development tradeoffs between speed, design, flexibility, and the underlying page architecture
- Significant experience designing and developing user-centric web sites in a professional software development environment
- Experience with AJAX web development techniques
- Ability to self-manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with clients and coworkers
- High energy, a helpful attitude and self-motivation
- Creative problem solving skills
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Experience with AJAX frameworks, including Ruby on Rails and Microsoft’s Atlas
- Knowledge of Flash
- Familiarity with blogging and content management
