The Analyst will be an integral part of the Research and Analytics Team and be responsible for delivering and supporting all service areas within the department and across multiple client projects. This position will focus on online consumer and industry research, usability facilitation and testing, business / user requirements documentation and rationalization, and analysis and measurement tasks. Ideally, candidates will have Web experience with sound understanding of online marketing strategies and concepts, competitive and consumer research principles and business metrics and statistics. As a plus, the candidate would be comfortable with navigating the Internet and associated data technologies such as log analyzers, scenarios-based engines and data mining tools.
Responsibilities
- Provide research for client business strategy and solution development:
- Complete online competitive analyses
- Provide industry updates across specific verticals and companies
- Gather consumer insight via surveys and online community
- Develop and enhance online research capabilities
- Provide and assist with delivery of measurement and analysis services
- Develop measurement strategies, include identifying key metrics to track and report on for clients
- Perform ad-hoc analyses of Internet and client website data findings
- Provide facilitation and moderation of Usability Testing
- Assist in the design and facilitation of usability testing
- Study and share usability best practices with team and company
- Establish and track vendor relationships across all service areas (research, usability and analytics)
- Work cross-functionally to communicate learning and to complete client projects
- Assist with New Business Development needs, such as helping clients define their requirements and potential solutions; and convincing them of the value of R&A research and measurement services to their business
- Assist department in the growth of its services by integrating R&A services and activities into a broader continuous improvement process within company
Required Skills
- Post-secondary degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related subjects preferred.
- Any course works in analytical subjects such as statistical analysis, behavioral analysis, eBusiness or marketing sciences would be a plus.
- Related experience in any of the following areas:
- Web research (competitive and industry analysis)
- Usability test design (one-on-one interviews, groups)
- Statistical analysis, spreadsheet modeling
- Business strategy and presentation development
- Web marketing measurement and site analysis
- Consumer market research (surveys development)
- Experience in measurement and analysis of data from business and marketing perspectives
- Have ability in the marketing research and sciences areas, to establish and analyze research studies
- Knowledge of database query development (i.e. SQL) would be a definite plus
- Agency/consulting and Internet-related business experiences preferred
