Position Overview
The Manager, Content Management and Email Architecture supports the Sr Manager, Online Strategy and Client Experience in their mandate to achieve the broader business strategic priorities and operational performance of the Online Strategy and Client Experience Group. Main objective is to increase sales effectiveness, revenue generation, and overall client experience of RBC's web properties through leading development and implementation of a comprehensive Content Management Strategy, which will allow more effective communication with clients and non-clients, and deliver on RBC's brand promise. Additional responsibilities include the development of a centralized email database solution for use in email marketing campaigns.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Develop a Content Management Strategy for RBC's public-facing online properties, that includes:
- Analyzing the current state; capabilities, workflows, existing technologies and online environments (public and private domains, email marketing, online component of integrated campaigns, etc.)
- Providing a competitive assessment and best practices
- Understanding of existing relevant policies and strategies such as the Online Standards & guidelines, Online Merchandising Strategy, private site marketing (eOffers), Client Centric Architecture Initiative
- Devising a comprehensive plan addressing current needs and future requirements and including: publishing process and workflows, recommended technologies (new and/or existing), roadmap for execution
- Delivering an improved and differentiated client experience by enabling more effective and consistent communication with our clients
- Increasing efficiency by implementing 'write once publish to many' processes
- Developing and implementing a centralized Email database solution that can gather and house email addresses currently accumulated and stored at multiple locations (Branch, DWE, CPC, Prospect Dbase, etc.) for use in email marketing campaigns, as well as house leads generated through online only promotions and campaigns
- Effectively managing all project resource requirements and allocation – FTE, contractors and/or vendors, develops and negotiates vendor proposals/contracts
- Acting as a content management consultant providing expert guidance and thought regarding principles of online
Requirements
- Experience with content management publishing processes and technologies for large enterprise-level organizations
- Experience in implementing Enterprise Web Content Management solutions
- Advanced understanding of internet technologies and applications
- Web Design/Internet Architecture experience (understanding of how web sites and applications are designed and information architected)
- 3+ years Online Marketing experience (experience in, and understanding of how products/services are marketed and sold online) preferred
- Vendor management (experience working with and managing external suppliers) preferred
- Experience working within the Financial Services industry preferred
