Sr. Online Product Manager – B2B
The Opportunity
This role will appeal to a talented and experienced product leader who has a passion for the internet and what it means to create the perfect customer experience. The product manager is responsible for product development, working closely with software developers / engineers, and key business unit stakeholders to drive innovation and business results. This person is a master at spearheading and managing the development of new products and technologies from concept to completion, and is excited to take one of Canada’s most successful ”.com” companies to the next level.
The Responsibilities
- Spearhead the revolution to develop an engaging B2B customer experience that builds consumer retention and brand affinity
- Champion the customer to build requirements for product functionality, navigation, interactivity, user experience and adoption
- Oversee and manage the customer product development roadmap to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and objectives
- Prepare business cases to support proposed product initiatives as required
- Collaborate with marketing to develop deep industry, consumer and customer insight that will influence product design and development
- Develop detailed business requirements for user products, and project-manage the development of these products from concept to specification to prototype to product launch
- Guide the technical and design aspects of product development
- Manage and coordinate cross functional teams (marketing, business analysts, operations, sales, usability groups, etc.) to create exceptional products that take into consideration multiple stakeholders
- Oversee launch strategy ensuring successful customer communication, implementation and training
- Possess strong quality assurance standards and ensure product launches are at a high standard
- Assess the impact/ROI of products through Web Analytics and Business Intelligence tools
The Qualifications
- Experience analyzing data to develop sound business cases
- Proven abilities to identify, understand, prioritize, plan and clearly articulate market and customer requirements
- Experience in managing multiple projects from concept to completion in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional abilities to collaborate and build relationships with key stakeholders and software developers in order to complete projects on time
- Developed and implemented comprehensive processes/methodologies to ensure efficient product definition/development and successful product launches
- Proven experience through innovative and effective product design and implementation, preferably in the web space, and ideally with revenue-generating products
- Sound understanding of web 2.0 product development concepts and models (e.g. agile / scrum / waterfall development, product development lifecycle, etc.)
- 5+ years in a product development role
- University or College degree/diploma in Business, Design, Media, Marketing, or Product Development/Management
- Thrive on change and constant improvement
