OpenRoad is currently looking for experienced information architects, user experience designers, and usability analysts to work on projects in 2008.
Our work includes the development of large public websites and custom web applications for some of BC’s finest organizations. We’re seeking designers in Vancouver that are interested in collaborating with us on challenging project work in the upcoming year. Opportunities include:
- participating in design research
- designing custom web applications
- performing usability audits and redesigning applications
- creating user-centred IA’s for large public websites
- working with CMS development teams
- collaborating with other usability experts through usability testing
- advocating user-centred design methods with our clients

OpenRoad has been building usable and functional web-based software since 1995. Our clients include the BC Superior Courts Judiciary, City of Vancouver, Electronic Arts, Intrawest, the Ministry of Transportation, Vancouver Coastal Health, and the Vancouver Public Library. Active members of the Vancouver technology community, OpenRoad helped co-found the Vancouver Java Users Group (VanJUG) and the Vancouver User Experience group (VanUE). OpenRoad is located in Gastown.
