UBC Public Affairs’ Web Communications team is looking for a forward-thinking, super-talented web designer. We’re looking for someone with solid web layout skills, as well as significant understanding of CSS, some Flash, ideally along with a bit of exposure to the print world, blah blah blah.
In this role, you’ll help bring some of UBC’s major-eyeball sites out of the stone age, graphically speaking.
Position details are at http://www.hr.ubc.ca/files/postings/management.html#job11. It’s a full-time contract gig to 31-Mar-2007, with the possibility for extension, but a UBC work week is 35 hours, which leaves lots of time to continue with outside projects you might have on the go.
We’re expecting that this web designer will really elevate the sites we look after, including the top-level site, www.ubc.ca – we want to go from where we’re at now, to something that’s w-a-y more interactive and graphically savvy. Sites we really like right now are www.brown.edu and www.unl.edu.
If you think you might be interested or would like to discuss the parameters firsthand, e-mail [email protected] or call 604.822.8925. Or, if know of anyone who might fit the bill, please encourage them to send a resume.
By the way, we’re an award-winning team of web coordinators, developers and graphic designers and we work in a very casual environment.
