Position Objective
You will work on web sites that inspire users and create compelling digital experiences. You will develop visual feasts for a wide variety of web development projects and work as part of a creative team.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Blast Radius builds web applications that exceed user expectations and business requirements by conducting heuristic evaluations, user testing, focus groups, and other relevant usability exercises
- Work closely with the user experience team (Information Architects, Creative Directors, Content Strategists, etc.) to represent the end user's requirements and expectations on a project basis
- Provide actionable direction and recommendations from a usability perspective based on relevant industry experience
- Plan, execute, and report the results of usability testing as required on a project basis in a fast-paced web development environment
- Gather requirements and document user flows during planning and pre-production phases of development process
- Contribute usability subject matter expertise and relevant industry experience to sales pitches as required
- Gather product requirements, design and prototype applications with external clients, vendors and internal engineering and business teams.
- Prefer relevant industry expertise in travel & tourism, consumer goods, media and entertainment, financial services sectors
- Provide support to senior technical staff and participate on client projects as required.
- Act as a company advocate and embody the Blast Radius values: people, passion, creativity, fun and excellence.
- Participate in Blast Radius internal activities
- Perform special projects/duties as needed
Experience
- 3+ years of experience planning and executing usability studies (heuristic evaluations, usability testing, focus groups, etc.)
- Prefer relevant industry expertise in travel & tourism, consumer goods, media and entertainment, financial services sectors
- Related degree or diploma preferred and/or equivalent experience
- Strong communication and problem solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment required
