We are currently expanding our centralized North American I.T. Center in Mississauga, Ontario and are looking for 1 web developer whom is experienced in large-scale and fast-paced corporate environments. Web Developer – Front End Applications
The web developer will be responsible for developing web content from an interface perspective. The analyst should have web design experience and a strong enthusiasm for web front-end development. The analyst should have an excellent understanding of usability concepts around web interface, and very good knowledge of client scripting (Javascript, VBScript). Good JSP and some ASP knowledge is also required, as well as in depth knowledge of DHTML and browser variation differences (IE, Firefox). The incumbent will also be responsible for validating user interface compliance of external applications. Also, excellent command of English and some reasonable French knowledge is strongly desired, as proofreading may be required.
To be considered for this role, qualified candidates must have a Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, business systems or a related discipline along with 3 or more years of development experience and 2 or years of practical experience on Information Technology projects. Qualified candidates must have at least and in-depth knowledge of DHTML and browser variations, plus experience with web content management tools. The successful candidate will have J2EE development experience preferably in a large multi-national company. In addition, the incumbent will have experience with client-size web scripting using Javascript and/or VBscript. The incumbent will also be able to perform changes using JSP, plus develop and maintain high-quality front-end web applications.
