Description
In your role as User Experience Product Manager, you will be responsible for managing the user experience of the Eloqua product. Working in close coordination with both the Design and the Engineering teams, you will champion and manage initiatives to continually improve and enhance the experience of users within the Eloqua product. Your passion for user experience and your technical skills make you the ideal fit for a role that is the champion of the user experience. Your empathy for the work pressures and requirements placed on marketers makes you an ideal person to conceptualize and manage the implementation of ideas and innovations to improve their experience. Your ability to understand the needs of a variety of user types, and coordinate their various requirements into a prioritized set of initiatives gives you an ability to excel in this role.
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Product Management to identify the user experience requirements of each key persona type
- Identify and prioritize areas for user experience modification and improvement based on the needs of each user persona
- Coordinate with the design team to assist them in creating prototypes of new functionality using web standard markup (e.g. HTML, javascript)
- Utilize a variety of techniques to validate designs against user personas to ensure the correct experience is created
- Coordinate with the Engineering and Product Management teams to ensure a timely and correct build and deployment of each initiative
- Work closely with the development team on user experience design decisions and to develop user experience guidelines
- Solicit end-user input on usability working both directly from customers and with the client services team
- Act as the owner and strong advocate for usability and end user requirements
Qualifications
- University Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Graphic design, Human Computer Interaction, or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years experience in user interface design with at least 2+ years in web applications
- Strong knowledge of HTML, javascript and standard design tools (e.g. Illustrator, PhotoShop)
- Familiarity with Web 2.0 technologies
- Experience in software development organizations in either a development or QA role is an asset
- Experience with user experience testing methodologies, from hallway testing to time and motion studies is an asset
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Hard and efficient worker
- Able to learn new concepts and apply them quickly
- Able to have fun while working in a close-knit team
