marblemedia is a next generation content creation company dedicated to telling stories and connecting with audiences across multiple platforms in television, web and mobile.
The 'Interactive Designer' is responsible for the creation of all online visual design/concepts, graphic production, branding, marketing, typography and related production development. This skilled designer will be assigned to existing or new interactive projects and will work on multiple platforms including mobile.
Responsibilities
- Direct and produce artistic development, integration and implementation in coordination with team, schedule and budget
- Perform necessary information architecture, brand design and follow best practices
- Participate in graphic production and development as well as conceptual design
- Ensure our online and offline projects communicate the desired visual message, maintaining design consistency through brands and projects
- Create and maintain documentation relating to the design of the projects
- Liaise with internal and external production artists and illustrators
- Communicate with other staff members to convey clear ideas and solutions
- Communicates with the project team throughout all stages of design
Skills and Qualifications
- Extensive experience in Interactive Design required
- Degree / training or equivalent in a related field (fine art, graphic design, interactive design, typography etc.)
- Create superior, original designs for all interactive platforms
- Specific knowledge of design tools for the online environment
- Solid understanding of client deliverables, and the ability to take responsibility for them
- Have demonstrated successful design and integration, and the delivery of projects on time and within the given budget
- Comfortable with pitches and presentations for purpose of delivering design solutions
- Ability to negotiate, communicate and inform within the project teams
- High level of proficiency as a leader
- Flash production experience required
- Animation experience within the Flash environment preferred
- Experience in typography is preferred
- Experience in designing for mobile devices or interactive television is an asset
- Portfolio and references required
- Excellent English (written and oral)
