Medicine 2.0: IT Entrepreneur(s) wanted for Health IT project, Toronto Ontario
We want to help patients find and participate in clinical trials in a patient-centered and participatory way. (As background, please visit www.clinicaltrials.gov to see current state-of-the-art, and imagine you are a patient trying to navigate it. The site gets over 10 million visits per month)
I am in my medical residency at Toronto and started ClinLink with a friend of mine who is an Internist at TGH.
ClinLink is based on using tagging concepts to represent patient criteria and then helping patients search using MD defined ‘clusters’ of disease traits.
We are searching for an IT entrepreneur(s) in Toronto with an interest & skills in: tagging folksonomy and user interface. It helps if you are a fan of delicious, flickr clusters, etc. This would be an equity partnership. We have spent many months putting together the medical team and refining our concept with various demos, now we want to build it with a person(s) who is passionate about patient participation and access to research.
