Position Overview
As the graphical interface programmer, you will implement innovative interface designs using leading-edge technology to build award-winning software. Knowledge of web architecture, online design, multimedia communications and interface design is required, as is proficiency in the authoring software Macromedia Flash and Dreamweaver. Advanced Javascript and ActionScript2 programming skills are essential. Prior experience in commercial software development life-cycle is a strong plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop award-winning applications using Macromedia Flash, HTML, Javascript, and XML
- Lead and perform development, unit testing, and application testing individually and in collaboration with the team
- Manage versioning of code assets like ActionScript and .fla files in a repository
- Ensure that the code meets the required development standards
- Ensure that the code is optimized for optimal performance
- Establish and maintain development and production environments, with the help of other teams as needed
- Provide progress reporting of all tasks on a weekly basis to immediate supervisors
- Continually enhance knowledge and expertise, by staying current with existing and new technologies
Requirements
- Must be located in the greater Toronto metropolitan area
- 4+ years Macromedia Flash
- 4+ years of professional HTML/DHTML/CSS experience
- 4+ years of professional JavaScript experience
- 4+ years web interface development experience
- 2+ years ActionScript coding
- 1+ years of usability design experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Acute attention to detail
- Strong communication and conceptual skills
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines
- Interactive software development using Macromedia Flash
- Scripting applications using ActionScript2 (Flash)
- Web page development using HTML and Javascript

Pluses
- SQL

Education
- B.A. or B.S. degree, MBA a plus.
