Job Description

The new IBM Montreal Software Lab is a thriving R&D community with a small-town feel and a spirited and diverse culture. The acquisition of Systemcorp in 2004 gave IBM a leading technology in project portfolio management and IT governance. Rational Portfolio Manager enablesorganizations to evaluate and manage their portfolio of IT projects to ensure that these projects deliver optimal value to the business. The Montreal Lab’s more than 70 world-class developers and support staff unite to supply vital technologies and components to IBM’s Rational product offerings. The Portfolio Manager suite includes modules for managing project costs and charges, reusable templates, time tracking, collaboration, resource planning and version tracking, among others.

The Role

  1. Develop new functionality for Rational Portfolio Manager
  2. Provide on-going support of the developped functionality
  3. Write design documentation
  4. Perform unit testing and code review

Qualifications

You must have the following experience:

  1. Experience with developping graphical user interface applications on Windows (minimum 10 years experience)
  2. Experience with DELPHI programming ( language and Development Tools) (minimum 5 years experience)
  3. Experience with JAVA programming (language and Development Tools) (minimum 5 years experience)
  4. Knowledge of UNIX would be an asset
  5. Knowledge of the IBM Workplace platform would be an asset
  6. ClearCase and/or VSS experience would be an asset
  7. Need to speak/write English and French
