User experience firm Mobile Innovation was acquired yesterday by Macromedia (who is in term being acquired by Adobe ).
The acquisition will create a mobile consulting practice for Macromedia and will form part of the Macromedia Consulting team in EMEA. The acquisition follows a strategic partnership formalised in January, under which Mobile Innovation would create and develop a range of concept user interfaces for handset manufacturers and network operators that demonstrate the advantages of using Macromedia Flash Lite to create innovative mobile UI design.
Maybe the next round of Web2.0 acquistions will be larger organizations acquiring smaller, innovative designers and developers they’ve worked with to become their product team.
BTW I love the slogans:
- Experience matters.
- Converting concepts into reality…
