Looking for Work

by davidcrow

Well it seems that it is time for me to begin looking for work again. My current contract expires in September, though it can be ended at any point (by either party ;-). My manager and I have discussed the possibility of my staying on, but my role would change to accomodate this. They would want me to do more project management and more change management activities. This doesn’t match up with what I want to do, I want to design, build, implement, deploy and manage customer-focused solutions. Change management and project management are just arrows in my quiver, as are business analysis, usability methods, programming, etc.

I am looking for either contract or full-time work as part of a 3-12 person software development team. Where I can participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, change management, support, etc.

While I am rewriting my resume, emailing old friends and acquaintences, updating people about my situation, I should write a Tim Bray” style why you should hire me. Stay tuned.
