Foxier women and faster horses?

by davidcrow

Entropy Gradient Reversals has an interesting post about how he incorporated the phrase "foxier women and faster horses" into a consulting sales pitch. It made me laugh, but when I started to think of the conversations I have had with other consultants with my clients I start to hear the same things. It reminded me of the story the Razorfish owners used to pitch.

We radically transform businesses to invent and reinvent themselves

This always bothered me. After seeing the 60Minutes piece on Razorfish I was able to understand what bothered me about it. These firms were using user-centered design principles to dupe executives and companies into spending money and not necessarily doing anything that will help their business or their customers.

What happened to Razorfish?

I wasn’t alone in watching the Razorfish owners on 60 Minutes 2 and wondering exactly what all of the hubbub was about. It is clear that others had their concerns, as Razorfish, Lante, Scient, iXL, Marchfirst, etc. have been acquired/disassembled and sold off (most to either Divine or SBI and Company).
