History
It was more than a year ago that I was introduced to the Indoor Playground. Mark Dowds has done a fantastic job building a co-working space for Toronto entrepreneurs, change agents, designers and developers. Mark and Renee Warren are working establishing the Indoor Playground as not-for-profit, community owned venture.
We have been working away on getting the non-profit status established and are working on gathering a fund to help support other people like us in other areas and other cities who have a similar vision. We want to see centers like this in cities right across Canada and US established and founded by the locals. These community owned ventures are vital for the health and development of the pioneers in the for-profit, not-for-profit, and charitable sectors. We want to see the lines blurred between these sectors and to see more like minds connecting and helping one another.
It’s the derivatives that matter most
This is similar to the original idea that Boris and I discussed about the Innovation Commons though it looks like we’ve lost the domain and the drive behind the idea. But others like
Mark and Renee are leading the efforts to keep a downtown co-working space available in Toronto. Vote for the Indoor Playground project and spread the ideas behind the space.
