Sean Moffit is “hosting” a tournament of Canadian social media blogs (thanks Joe). I think of it as So You Think You Can Dance or America’s Next Top Model for Canadian social media bloggers. It looks like it’s a competition of up to 13 blog posts. All of which is happening during August, I’ll be at a disadvantage with the new baby, lack of sleep and what-not.
The criteria
The draft criteria is to rate your best posts on 5 areas – overall impact (20%), clarity of thought (20%), did it make me want to think/act differently (20%), did it want me to comment/participate (20%) and originality (20%).
The contestants
Just to name a few:
- Kate Trgovac
- Doug Walker
- Bill Sweetman
- Michelle Sullivan
- Marc Snyder
- Michael Leblanc
- Mitch Joel
- David Peralty
- Ed Lee
- Sean Howard
- Peter Childs
- shift+control
- Kevin Daoust
- Chris Herbert
- Alan Sawyer
- Leesa Barnes
The competition
It looks like the Three Minds at Organic are up first for me. They have an interesting blog that is focused on digital marketing. There are some particularly insightful posts including my favourite, From the Ground Up: Recognizing and Retaining Creative Talent. The blog is a great summary of what’s going on in digital marketing, community, and social media. Interesting enough, that I think I’ll subscribe in my RSS reader. Great stuff, I could be out in the first round.
