March madness

by davidcrow

March is conference month. I’m attending ETech. I’m presenting at ICE 2007 and serving on the CHUM U-Pitch Jury.

Attracting digital creatives as well as visionary technology entrepreneurs, the SXSW Interactive Festival enables you to connect, discover and inspire your link to the cutting edge.

Community 2.0 is the inaugural event for forward-thinking organizations that recognize the need of harnessing the network effect of community to make smarter, faster, and better business decisions.

ICE 2007 sessions will offer delegates an executive-level interactive exchange and big picture opportunities to explore IDEAS, MODELS and MARKETS.

Over a two-day period in downtown Toronto ICE 2007 will examine the business of content and how the transformation of the entertainment industries are quickly changing traditional relationships between the media and end users – turning “audiences” into “players” and at times into the “content” itself.

ICE 2007 sessions will offer delegates an executive-level interactive exchange and big picture opportunities to explore IDEAS, MODELS and MARKETS.

In 2007, we expect internet access to be instant, music collections to fit into our pockets, and communication as a constant. Technology is so tightly woven into our lives that at times we scarcely notice it. And yet, there are innovators, hackers, and thinkers plotting revolutions—often by simply reexamining underlying assumptions we already take for granted. From the infrastructure supporting mass-market players, the promise of mass computing, and alternative energy sources to personalized medicine, movie magic, web heresies, and talking paper, ETech 2007 explores the technological rejiggering and changes in perspective that are poised to blast off into the realm of magic.
