BarCampEarthToronto happening this weekend

by davidcrow

Wow, the BarCampEarthToronto team has really pulled off a fantastic setup for this weekend’s BarCampEarth here in Toronto. The event is taking place on Saturday, August 26 in the MSN Canada offices at Yonge and Adelaide. And on Sunday, August 27 there is a BBQ in Dufferin Grove Park where everyone is invited. Here was the description of everyone:

On Sunday we’re doing a BBQ in Dufferin Grove Park and everyone is invited. I think it’ll be really cool to have the extended Toronto tech community together including the wives/husbands, gf/bf, and kids.

If you are planning on attending BarCampEarthToronto, you need to register . We are space constrained to approximately 70 people and therefore are requiring all participants to register. It looks like the organizers are doing an “orientation session” to begin the day. Looks like there is then roughly 6 hours for sessions divided into 3 separate streams (that’s almost 18 hours of programming wow!). If this is your first BarCamp, remember:

BarCamp is not DemoCamp – if you’d like to share your product with the community please find a method other than a straight-up demo. Maybe there is a technical issue you want to work through or a business model approach etc. that you could discuss with other people who may be facing the same issues.

On Sunday, August 27 there is a social lunch happening in Dufferin Grove Park. Add yourself to the wiki if you are planning on joining everyone.
