Summary
The ideal candidate is a talented and versatile web designer, experienced in providing top quality designs that address business needs and user experience. Working with a team of project managers, developers and production staff in a magazine publishing environment, the web designer has an understanding of how to translate the print medium to web.
Responsibilities
- Creation of online projects ranging from full websites to microsites to online branding
- Code standards-compliant from designs
- Work with the Project Manager to coordinate essential design projects from start to finish
- Liaise with team designers and clients (internal and external) to understand individual project needs
Qualifications and Requirements
- Skilled in Photoshop, Illustrator and other industry-standard software
- Skilled in web design standards (size, weight, browser issues, etc.)
- Skilled in CSS, XHTML, AJAX and Javascript
- Skilled in Dreamweaver or able to code straight HTML
- Strong creative and problem solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Ability to excel in a "time critical" environment
- Flash creation a definite benefit
