The number of vendors selling the Mac to a growing base of customers (they persuaded me) makes it easier to find a reasonable price point for a MacBook. It also depends on type and nature of the work someone does. It seems the Mac is winning when it comes to interoperability with its other products for mobile computing. Good luck with your purchase. You can get some very lightly (or unused) ultralight notebooks at some pretty nice discounts. Done it a few times now. Just don't get a sony in french.
