Fighting with Ant, JUnit & Eclipse

by david on July 2, 2004

Arggggh, I spent almost 4 hours yesterday fighting with Eclipse, JUnit and Ant go get some code to build. Something changed when I upgraded from version 2.1.x to version 3.0 of Eclipse. I didn’t realize that tasks aren’t supported by Ant unless you specify the path to the junit.jar. Raible’s Wiki has a great example of how to configure Eclipse, Ant and JUnit to work together (with lots of tutorials on Matt’s SpringLive page at JRoller.

AppFuse (also here) like a very cool use of Spring, XDoclet. I will have to add this to the list of new tools including WebWork and SiteMesh I have been exploring.

I have good news for you – WebWork and SiteMesh will be included as options in the next release of AppFuse (hopefully in August). ;-)
