An Alberta Clipper

by david on November 16, 2007

I’ve spent the past week in Vancouver at Adaptive Path’s User eXperience intensive in Vancouver. I will unfortunately miss the November 2007 VanUE meeting – Dynamics of Wikipedia which will definitely bring a passionate discussion around the user experience of Wikipedia and MediaWiki. But I will be around for a few events in Alberta.

Suede Lounge - Edmonton, AB

Pat Barford from EPCOR and Gene Smith have kindly made arrangements for a pre-CanUX 2007 gathering in Edmonton. I’m hoping that there are a group of user experience professional, information architects, human factors practitioners, designers, students, developers and entrepreneurs in Edmonton will come and join us for a roaming UXIrregulars meet up.

After CanUX I’ll be in Calgary for DemoCampCalgary5. Patrick Lor and Kempton (whose last name I don’t seem to know) have been fantastic in helping set this up. I will be in Calgary from November 25-29. I plan on meeting a few folks from UofC but I will extend this offer to anyone in Calgary. Drop me a note at david at davidcrow dot ca or david dot crow at microsoft dot com, or just use my handy-dandy contact form and we can get together to talk about community, user experience, design, Microsoft, or anything else.

It looks like a great demo schedule. I’m hoping that even folks who have previously presented will consider representing.

Looking forward to seeing you David.

A few updates.

We have confirmed the room to be SH215.

And Mark Gillingham will be demoing a product from Intelliview.

Thanks for spreading the words and CU in cowtown.
