I love connections. I was following up on what my friends at BodyMedia were working on, they really do have some compelling technology, stories and solutions. Check out their videos and storyboards for future uses of their technology platform. Astro Teller spoke at The Inspiration Festival and low and behold Chris and Tara of Citizen Agency have been working with the folks at the Inspiration Festival to include Ma.gnolia links—check out the Site Credits.

To make a tool that a large part of the planet uses – Jonathan Harris

The Inspiration Festival opened up a new group of people, ideas and thoughts. Jonathan Harris is described as an Internet Anthropologist and has worked on a number of really inspiring projects.

The Gathering is a 30-50 person invitation only conference held in 2006 at The Projectile Arts studio in Brooklyn.

The 20 minute presentations provide a jumping-off point for wide-ranging discussions about topics as varied as politics, art, society, technology, and the nature of the human mind and spirit. No one pretends to have all of the answers. The best presentations tend instead to inspire more questions.

We need to learn from these events. And incorporate some ideas into events that are happening here.

  1. <p>And I know that you know Astro Teller and the BodyMedia folks because you went to CMU. In fact it was Astro Teller's book on Alice that convinced me to go to CMU.</p><br />

<p>And yes, we did help out with the Inspiration Festival website. Alex Hillman, who's now moving out to SF to loosely join us, learned PHP coding the site and now's going to be our resident code jockey. not right away, but that's the plan.</p><br />

<p>And, in other connections, we had lunch with a Chris Kenton from VAMA yesterday who's big into The Gathering. How did we meet? Here, let me draw a diagram:</p><br />
