Congratulations are due to the JobLoft.com team who closed a seed round on E03 of The Dragon’s Den tonight. They had a pre-money valuation of $200,000 and raised $200,000 for a post-money valuation of $400,000 (if I am making the numbers out correctly tonight).
It looks like all 5 Dragon’s participated in the round, with Robert Herjavec, Kevin O’Leary, Jennifer Wood, Jim Treliving and Laurence Lewin all investors in JobLoft.com. It will be interesting to read Sean Wise’s commentary on Inside the Dragon’s Den
This is a tough investment. I am not sure I would have done it from a financial aspect, i.e., the valuation felt really low. However, the JobLoft.com guys are young, and absorb information like sponges. The exposure to 5 world-class entrepreneurs will bring them great connections and prepare them for what’s next.
