Perhaps you have done it intentionally but you have turned off comments for that particular posting

great idea to open up the invitation to anyone to join us at that ICT meeting on April 26th

I would love to investigate the Ontario Media Development Corporation to see if the BarCamp/DemoCamp initiatives can get some funding for the Market & Festivals Program. I am also very interested in investigating the New Media Research Networks Fund provided by the Dept of Canadian Heritage Because of my passion for technology and my drive I have been successful in the past with TechnoCap in raising capital, to be successful with both these public funding initiatives I will need support and commitment from others, perhaps we can meet and discuss at your convenience

For the New Media Research & Development Initiative I do not believe there is an opportunity here for BarCamp/Demo Camp, perhaps for the people who demo their product there is an opportunity

You talk about the OCAD Beale Centre, I have a meeting with Alex Manu, the Director of the Beal Center for Strategic Creativity, the 2nd week of May

I know Kate Hanley the President of Women in Film & Television, perhaps we can have a discussion on how we can leverage that relationship to the benefit of BarCamp/DemoCamp

You mention lots of great organizations that would benefit the BarCamp/DemoCamp movement, I however just disagree with Toronto Board of Trade, I believe that organization and its members are not focused or niche enough, you have everyone there from hairdressers to plumber to travel agents, yes I agree it is always good to network with others, but I think there should be priorities and focus

Regards,
Estelle
